Is it not time that we network and “cry out to God”
Pastors and churches, is it not time that we network and “cry out to God” for His hand upon us. As a God-fearing nation of men and women; Is it not the time for deliverance and a clear answer from heaven to seer us and give safe passage into future days?
Time to pray
“It’s later than many think.”
Paul wrote to Christians, “Now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we first believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the Armour of light” (Romans 13:11-12).
Thousands, tens of thousands, even millions are blind to the end of time and the doom of the world. Many Christians have grown familiar with the constant warning of the nearness of the end and the legacy of their lives until this familiarity has bred contempt. They are sophisticated in their believing, slow of heart in their devotions to Christ’s ministry, unrepented in their spirit. They have just become dead in the pretense of being spiritually awakened.
May these words resound in our hears until it grips our hearts and lives, “The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the work of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light. Let us walk honestly as in the day, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying. But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfill the lusts thereof” (Roman 13:12-14). “Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein, the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless, we according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of Him in peace, without spot, and blameless” (II Peter 3:11-14).
A U.S. Senator stated recently, “There is a developing mood of anger frustration in this country and there ought to be for we are losing round after round in the cold war and our people do not like it.” At the close of World War II, our forces stood triumphant on the land and sea and in the air. We had at our command the mightiest array of military power in history. Yet, the last 16 years have witnessed a calamitous retreat from victory. During all these years we have suffered defeat after defeat at the hands of the lack of vision for the Christian’s message. We have retreated from the spirituality of our faith and Christian heritage in practice and message in this country. America was founded on the Bible. Please refer to the chapter in this book title “A Cry to America.” Everywhere we are in spiritual decline. We have retreated so far that we now stand perilously close to the brink of total disaster as a spiritual nation of Bible’s standards and laws.
The senator was asked how close are we to this disaster and the total enslavement of the world? He replied, “Last December I was privileged to speak in the City of Paris and at the time I said, if there were another 15 years like the last 15 years, there would be no more free world left to defend. In the light of what has happened over the intervening 8 months since I made that observation in Paris, I feel compelled to revise that timetable. I do not believe we have 15 years left. The next 5 years will contain a series of decisive battles, which will determine for centuries to come whether mankind is to live in freedom or to live in slavery. We stand now, my friends, with our backs to the end. We have no more ground to give, no time to lose, no margin for error.”
World Answer – Jesus Christ
In this world full of turmoil and pessimism, there is only one light penetrating in this gloom. It is expressed from the pages of the Bible. Jesus Christ, God’s Son is coming back to this earth. This is the most profound coming event in the whole world. Every Christian, I believe, at this hour should be looking for the soon return of our Lord; that day will not catch us unaware. “Be watchful, be ready” said the Lord Jesus Christ.
Yet, in spite of the continual and repeated warning in the Bible of Christ’s coming, this event is the most unpopular to the world and people dare to receive or believe it. The Bible speaks of scoffers that will come, saying: “Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation” (II Peter 3:4).
God’s word always disregards the ideas and opinions of men. If there is ever a time our Bibles should be taken seriously, it is now!!!
